For a Christmas Cookie Exchange, I made Candy Cane Cupcakes to share. They were peppermint cupcakes with red and white stripes. Tracy found the recipe for me here for a yummy Christmas cupcake. The fondant icing made it fun to decorate with festive Christmas themes:
The Santa Claus was my favorite! Of course it took so long that I only did one! The white fondant needed to be colored red and I made the pink face by mixing the prepared red and white together. The eyes are chocolate – I chipped off small pieces of chocolate chunk we had reserved for cookies.
I enjoyed eating them almost as much as I enjoyed making them!
