During one of my recent searches online, I found a fun project to make for my pregnant friends/family. The first try was a little off but I now know what I need to do next time.

Changing Pad Closed

The changing pad is made of cotton and minkee fabric and it closes with a pearl snap closure. The minkee is a little difficult to work with so next time I’ll be sure to line it with Pellon before working with it.

The built-in wipes/diaper holder was made separately and then attached when I stitched it closed.

It has come in handy quite a few times already. It’s the perfect size for a newborn but gets a little small when the child is older than 12 months.

We are very excited to have visitors from the Craft Magazine blog visit us on Flickr and here at spoolsisters. Carrie’s cake showed up on the blog on Thursday, 5 February. I was freaking out to try to tell Carrie it had been posted when I first saw it!

Rubber ducky cake on Craft!

Carrie wrote about the cakes she made for the Delaware Children’s Museum fundraiser on spoolsisters back in January, and her local paper has a picture of her the logo cake she made for the fundrasier, as well:
