Hi Marguerite! I have been meaning to do some research on this before replying but have yet to do that! Do you have any info on this as I knew nothing about it and would like to pass it along to the committee who runs our sale?

Thanks for the info!

Just curious -- how you're dealing with the CPSIA stuff? (Maybe you're not in the US, but I thought you were.) Our children's book sale (I work with the library) was alerted that for this year at least we'd be semi-safe selling a few books that are a few years older than 1985, but none of the super-old books, and for next year (when we have to prove up-front, not just hope that nobody runs a test on our sales and proves them to have lead in the paint in the pictures) all pre-1985 books are straight to the trash can. And they've said that's for garage and consignment sales too - this year, so long as you're not caught, you're fine, but next year (well, after Feb.), the onus is on you to make sure you're not selling any restricted products. Your shelf organizer I'm sure is absolutely fine :) (and pretty cool!), but just curious about how the sale is working around the law -- especially as regards clothing. (Our local Goodwill is doing very minimal children's clothing, and absolutely none after February, because of the law.)
